Nights of Lights After Dark: Keep the Night Going

See the lights first, then move into live music, a late meal, or a quieter drink without turning the whole evening into a parking problem.

The easiest Nights of Lights plan is lights first, one good indoor stop second, and the ride home decided before downtown fills. The 2026 display runs every evening from November 21 through January 18, 2027.

3 million+White lights downtown
  1. Walk the lights before the late crowd settles in. Start at the Plaza de la Constitución and the bayfront so the main event does not become the thing you rush past.
  2. Choose one music stop. The Colonial Oak, Milltop, Prohibition Kitchen, and Meehan's all keep music in the Old City, but their calendars are not interchangeable.
  3. Use the late room for the finish. Barley Republic and Stogies publish 2 a.m. hours every night. Tradewinds posts weekend bands through 1:30 a.m.
  4. Leave downtown on purpose. The official Nights of Lights app carries live parking, shuttle, and event updates. Use it before you head for the car.

Three endings that actually feel different

Keep it in the Old City

Walk from the lights into Milltop, Prohibition Kitchen, Meehan's, Stogies, Tradewinds, or Barley Republic. This is the least complicated second stop.

Cross for cocktails

Go over the Bridge of Lions to Odd Birds when the goal is a cocktail room rather than another St. George Street crowd.

End with the view

Use the bayfront for the lights, then settle into Meehan's upstairs deck if the weather and current hours cooperate.

Dates and season facts come from Florida's Historic Coast. The display is free. Shuttle details were still pending when this guide was checked September 26, 2026.
